This is pretty Dopey!

Good morning, Toontown campers.  The time has finally come for us to bid adieu.  Today I announce the last of our grand prize winners in the big, big Roger Rabbit Toontown Collectibles Extravaganza.

Before I do that, I want to thank all of the nearly 1,000 Roger Rabbit fans who submitted entries to my contest.  You’re a very creative bunch.  Your entries as they came in had me laughing every day for weeks.  I had so much fun with this contest that I might make it an annual affair.

Let’s get to the goodies..

The winner of the second grand prize is Jeff Delgado.  Jeff says that if Roger and Jessica went to a costume party they would go as Dopey and Snow White.  Jeff even sent me a picture (snapped on his new iPhone no doubt) of what they would like.

Good going, Jeff.  For that Dopey answer you win a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a limited edition printed copy of my new book Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, and an extremely rare zillion simoleon note all autographed by me.

That’s it for now, Toontownians.  Stay Tooned over the next few weeks as I post photos of the winners with their booty.

Roger, The Invisible Rabbit

Here we go, gang.  The day you’ve been waiting for.  When I announce the first of our two big grand prize winners.

Let’s have the drum roll please.

And the winner is: Jordan Schwartz.  Here’s Jordan’s extremely creative and right-on-target answer.

If Roger and Jessica went to a costume party, I imagine Roger would go as Harvey the Invisible Rabbit from the Mary Chase play/movie of the same name. He'd simply paint himself in Acme's Disappearing/Reappearing Ink to make himself invisible for the party.  That way he can reappear when the shindig is over.

As for Jessica, well Jessica hates costume parties.  Let’s get serious here.  She is, after all, Jessica Rabbit.  Other women dress up as her.  She doesn’t have to pretend she’s somebody else to stand out in a crowd.  So she tells Roger she's going as the Invisible Woman.  Instead, she skips the party altogether and goes out dining, dancing, and whatevering with Clark Gable.  Roger never notices his wife’s not at the party.

Good going, Jordan.  For that wack-a-doodle answer you win a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a limited edition printed copy of my new book Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, and an extremely rare zillion simoleon note all autographed by me.

Shmoo You Too!

We’re getting close, Roger Rabbit fans.  Tomorrow I announce the first of the two winners in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.  In the meantime, here’s an Honorable Honorable Mention.  This one was submitted by the creative and talented Adam Antium Nunez.  If you’ll remember, he WON the first giveaway.  I stated that fans could submit as many entries as they wanted.  This was Adam's second entry.  It’s a hum dinger.  Had Adam not won before, he would have won again with this original, inspired, and imaginative scenario.  Plus Adam gets extra points for incorporating yours truly into his scenario.

Good going, Adam.  No award for this, but only because you already got one.  You do get two thumbs up from me, two ears up from the Rabbit, and from Jessica…. Well let’s just say that she likes it too.

The question was, if Roger and Jessica went to a costume party, what costumes would they wear.

Adam’s answer:

Roger would dress up as The Shmoo, and Jessica would dress up as the lovely Daisy May.

No Toon party is complete without having Gary K. Wolf around! He dresses up as Li'l Abner and spends the evening in a heavy sweat as Jessica shamelessly flirts with his alter ego.

Roger spends most of the evening Shmoo-ing it up to a delighted audience, but almost loses his cool when he sees Jessica and Gary together. Determined to show her two can play at that game, Roger downs some spiked punch and looks around the room, finding Brunhilde from What's Opera, Doc? Not recognizing a subtly costumed Bugs Bunny, Roger starts showering him with compliments while downing even more punch. Bugs plays along, naturally.

Roger and Jessica lose sight of each other as the night goes on. Once Jessica's shameless flirting has caused Gary's costume to melt into a rubbery puddle on the floor, she gives him a sweet kiss on the forehead and goes searching for Roger, who is now on the dance floor dancing the "Two Bunny Tango" with a very amused Bugs. Gary, on the other hand, is leaning against the wall with a look of relief upon his face now that he has poured his drink and ice down his shirt.

Daffy, dressed as Elmer Fudd, is fuming at Bugs being in the spotlight yet again. He bounds to the dance floor, bumping Roger the Shmoo out of the way and into Jessica's waiting arms. He joins Bugs in the Tango, determined to upstage him so everyone will recognize him for the comic genius he is.

The dance ends abruptly when Bugs dips Daffy, places a rose in his beak, and spins him so fast that Daffy is drilled into the floor. Once the drilling sound stops, there is a moment of silence, followed by a mighty KABOOM, and the clatter of a duck beak falling to the floor. A withered featherless arm reaches up from the hole, grabs the beak, taps off the ash, and retreats to the hole. Moments later, a bald Daffy slinks away, humiliated again.

Roger glances over and looks at Daffy through punch drunk eyes and says, "Look, Jessica! A plucked duck!" before promptly passing out.

Waddya think, Roger fans?  Ain’t that a gasser?

Come back tomorrow for the first of our two big winners.

Until then, stay tooned.

Say The Secret Word And Win One Zillion Simoleons!

The excitement’s building, Roger Rabbit fans.  We’re getting close to the end of the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.  This is the last Honorable Mention Winner.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  Brad Ulanoski knocked it out of the park with his suggestion that Jessica would go blonde and would come as sultry screen siren Veronica Lake.  Roger would swipe Baby Herman’s cigar and deck himself out as Groucho Marx. Brad even sent along some fantastic artwork to show how they’d look in their costumes.

Good going, Brad.  You said the secret word.  For that you win an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Come by tomorrow when we’ll have a special Giveaway treat.

Until then, stay Tooned.

Roger and Jessica Pay Tribute To Robin and Bob

Here’s the next Honorable Mention winner in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  Austin Walker nearly brought me to tears by commemorating two of my dear friends, both sadly now passed on.  Austin says Roger would pay tribute to his dear friend Genie from Disney's Aladdin and honor Robin Williams by dressing as Robin’s iconic first role, Mork from Ork with Jessica donning a stunning Orkan Mindy space suit.  Genie would return the kindness and go as Roger's best bud, Eddie to honor the memory of Bob Hoskins

Nice job, Austin Walker.  For your thoughtful and very appropriate sentimental homage, you win an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Come by tomorrow for more.  We’re getting close to the two big winners, and you won’t want to miss them.  They’re both zingers.

Blub, blub, blub. Roger's going down for the third time.

Ahoy, maties.  Here’s today’s honorable mention winner in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway Extravaganza.  Another example of the far out thinking that separates Toontownians from the normal world.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.

Kelly Hammond thinks Roger could go as a sunken ship survivor. Jessica would be his life preserver!

Right on, Kelly.  Jessica’s certainly got the equipment to support her bunny boy.

For that bizarrely interesting costuming idea, Kelly wins an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Toon in tomorrow for another winner.
