Surf's Up!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A very clever aloha shirt featuring Jessica, fetchingly attired in a grass skirt and a pair of coconuts, with her long board.

Welcome To The Dork Side

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

From my recent visit to The Museum of Science.

This Tee just tickles the bejeezus out of me.  I suspect because I came over to the dork side a long, long time ago.  And I do so love pi.

The Original Kinky Logo.

Wolfman's Jacket of the Day.

This is the summer weight Who Framed Roger Rabbit crew jacket.

It has the original logo with a pair of handcuffs dangling off the underscore.  The handcuffs were removed from the logo before the movie came out.

I suspect Disney/Spielberg did not want to give the impression this was some kind of kinky bondage movie. Instead of the non-kinky story of the love affair between a rabbit and a woman.

A real, live red-headed Jessica!

Wolfman's Tee and Me.

This is me wearing yesterday's Jessica Rabbit Tee. Standing beside me is my gorgeous red-headed yoga instructor Jess Ray. I repeat.  I'm standing next to a honest to goodness red-headed Jessica!

How many authors can say they know a real-life incarnation of their best-looking and sexiest character?

Color Jess red.  Color me lucky!

A Dame To Frame For.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Great Tee design from Punksthetic Art.

This is a Jessica Rabbit variation of Eva Green's poster for the new Sin City movie.

You won't be seeing the Sin City poster in your local cineplex though. The movie rating board disapproved the poster “for nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.” In other words, too much boob.

No problem in Toontown. As Jessica would say, "You can't have too much boob!"

As I would say, you'd be a boob not to own and wear a swell Tee like this one.

Here's where to go to buy one for yourself. http://www.neatoshop.com/product/A-Dame-to-Frame-For

A major Comic Con 2014 Announcement

Here's a video I just recorded for San Diego Comic Con 2014 announcing my newest animation project. A TV series featuring a hardboiled Toon Wolf detective.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F9v1lPWeZo&feature=youtu.be

All similarities to him and me are purely intentional. Take a look!

A Celebrity sighting!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Well-known and well-respected writer/producer Erik von Wodtke wearing the Jessica Salute Tee at San Diego Comic Con 2014.

This Tee always raises my flagpole.

The New Illinois.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Yesterday I posted a picture of my Chief Illiniwek Tee.  The Chief has been retired.  This is what an Illinois Tee looks like today.

I liked it way better before.

Farewell to the Chief!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The last Tee made using Chief Illiniwek, the symbol of the University of Illinois from 1926 until he was retired in 2007.

The Chief wore authentic Sioux regalia and did a tribal dance at the halftimes of football and basketball games.

Chief Illiniwek was replaced as the University symbol by Mr. Cornstalk who does a twisty, bendy halftime dance called The Cornhole.  Miley Cyrus has been spotted at games scouting Mr. Cornstalk's routine.

I Heart China!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The Wolf Tee!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The extremely personable and hard working (writer, yoga instructor, yoga studio administrator) Kate Robinson wearing her colorful and entirely appropriate Wolf head Tee.

The design is 3-D.  If you pop on the right glasses, the wolf will open his mouth, bare his teeth, and bite you on the ass if you're not doing your down dog correctly.

An Oldie But Goodie. Article, that is.

A nice article from 5 years ago on the 20th Anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  Interviews with Don Hahn, Tom Sito, James Baxter, Ken Ralston, and the incredible Dick Williams.

http://www.awn.com/animationworld/roger-rabbit-turns-20

The book or the movie? You decide.

Interesting comparison between the Roger Rabbit novel and the Roger Rabbit movie.

A big scoop of rainbow sherbert.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The lovely and delightful Lisel Macenka modeling her Big Gay Ice Cream shirt.  Where the featured flavors are (no kidding!) Salty Pimp, Bea Arthur, Cococone, American Globs, and my personal favorite, Gobbler.

I dunno about you, but good ice cream always makes me gayer.

I have no idea what this says!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

German shirt worn by my friend John (AKA Juan Pablo) Pees.

I think it's a running shirt. For the sake of propriety, I'm hoping it doesn't say "Hey, girlie, check out my big strudel!"

Ger-man-ee, Ger-man-ee.

Wolfman's T-shirts of the Day.

My god daughter and her younger sister demonstrating their loyalties at the World Cup Championship.

They're half German, have been cared for over the years by a number of German au pairs, and have been to Germany.  They also both love bratwursts, sauerkraut, and a good polka band, so there was no question which national team they would be rooting for.

Wolfman, Air Commando

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A Tee from the Air Force Commando Group including the 5th Air Commandos, the Wolfman's unit in the late, great unpleasantness known as The Vietnam War.

Believe me when I tell you, I'd rather be wearing this T-shirt than a flak jacket.

After experiencing the horrors of war up close and personal, I'm lucky I'm still alive and able to wear any T-shirt at all!

The Secret History of Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Nice write up about Who Framed Roger Rabbit by incredible Roger Rabbit historian Ross Anderson.

Be my friend!

My Facebook progression of "People You May Know."

First were people from my hometown, other authors and writers. I get that.

Then came animators, illustrators, and comic book artists. I get that.

Next came movie stars and directors. I sort of get that.

Then came cosplayers, first Jessica Rabbit then a whole range of science fiction characters. I definitely get that.

Next were pictures of scantily clad gorgeous girls from exotic countries. If I friended any of these I got badly Englsh-mangled message requests to send a credit card number for unlimited web camera access. Yeah, I'm a lonely old man. I get that.

But now all of my "People You May Know" suggestions are female professional wrestlers.

Huh? What kind of vibe am I giving off here?

Do a squat!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

In honor of national Squat Day, here's a Crossfit Tee worn by my nephew Army Sergeant soon-to-be Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.

So waddya waiting for?  Go out there and squat!

If you don't know how, or need help, go here.  http://crossfitplattsburgh.com/

Running with the beautiful peeps.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Los Angeles Marathon, 2008.  My last sub-3.

Never saw so many gorgeous runners, men and women.  In looks and clothing.  Like everybody was auditioning for a role in a movie about the supermodel Olympics.

And then there was me.  Wearing my usual mismatched and ill-fitting attire.  Like I wanted a part on The Simpsons.

ARMY. Because even Marines need heroes.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Warn by my favorite nephew Sergeant soon-to-be-Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.

I also want to thank him sincerely for the case of Heady Topper.  That boy does know how to make my day.

If you want to buy this T-shirt, go here.  It's not exactly the same design, but close enough for Army work.

Greetings from Guantanamo Bay.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Greetings from Guantanamo Bay. The rum, not the prison.

A Tee given to me by my favorite nephew Army Sergeant soon to be Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.  He got me this shirt while he was stationed at Gitmo.

I've paired this Tee with my Yankee Air Pirate hat from my Vietnam days.

Let's hope neither one of us ever has to go back.

Another Tink!

Another shot of Tinker Bell. This one is a production cel from Peter Pan. Autographed by Marc Davis, Tink's creator.

He signed it to Gary Wolf, Who Knew Tinker Bell when! This was because I told him I based Jessica Rabbit on Tink grown up and funky. Marc then told me that he did live nude drawing studies of Marilyn Monroe.

So Marilyn was Tinks grandmother so to speak.

Kung Fu Panda!

Wolfman's Tee and Me!

Me and a martially artistic panda on the streets of Beantown.

You should have seen that panda's dragon, tiger, leapard, crane, and especially his snake moves.

The panda might have looked like Bruce Lee, but he sounded exactly like Jack Black.

I'm wearing my Earlville Center of the Universe Tee.  The panda wasn't impressed.
