Wearing 'o the Green and Hoping For the Pick.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

My friend Max-A-Million wearing his Celtics Tee and working up some powerful mojo for the upcoming draft lottery.

We here in Beantown need for those little balls to be cooking up some heat.  Say it with me. Number One Pick, Number One Pick, Number One Pick.

Space Vulture, Me, and the Pope.

Wolfman's T-Shirt of the Day.

This is the cover of the book I co-wrote with my best friend from childhood days John J. Myers, the Catholic Archbishop of Newark.  We wrote the book as an homage to Space Hawk, a book we both read in the third grade, and the book which gave us both on to a lifelong love of science fiction.

In our later years, John introduced me to soon-to-be-saint Pope John Paul.  The Pope told me he was a big fan of my Roger Rabbit movie.  He had a personal copy which he watched whenever he felt the need for a good chuckle.  John had told me this fact, so I was prepared.  I gave the Pope an autographed Roger Rabbit doll.  The Pope laughed, took the rabbit by the ears, and blessed me with it.

There's a man who deserves to be a saint.

Let's Go Cruisin/!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

10th Annual Cruise Night Tee from my hometown, Earlville, Illinois.

Cruise Nights are sentimental favorites with those of my generation since most of us were conceived in the back seats of cars like this one.

Double double animal style.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The fabulous In 'N Out Burger.

Always my first stop whenever I arrive in L.A.

I got this Tee from a high-powered Hollywood friend who once had a birthday party where the mobile In 'N Out Burger truck parked in his driveway all night.  You could have unlimited and FREE whatever-you-wanteds.

So much better than a fountain of champagne.

If you've never had one, it's worth taking a trip West.  Before you go, make sure you check out the special "secret menu."  Hint.  You want your burger "animal style" and your fries well done.

BAA 1998

Wolfman's T-shirt of the day.

A tribute to the Boston Marathon and the wonderful Boston Marathoners.  My Tee from the last Boston Marathon I ever ran.

The picture's blurry because I ran so fast in those days it was hard to keep me in focus.  I'm lower, slower, and much better focused now.

They're off and running!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

It's Patriots Day, time for the running of the Boston Marathon.

Here's hoping the run is fun and, above all, safe.  Good luck to all you runners!.  Wish I could be out there pounding the pavement with all of you.

Boris the Cat Goes For the Rabbit.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

My big Birman cat Boris has taken a liking to my Who Wacked Roger Rabbit? Tee.  So much so that he scopes it out at every opportunity to see if he can find a way to slip inside it.

So far he's been unsuccessful.  But he keeps trying.  The hallmark of a cat.

To find out why big Boris is so interested in this Tee, check out the book advertised on the front.  Available cheap at a download near you.

A real, live redheaded Jessica!

Wolfman's Tee and Me.

Eat your hearts out, guys.  Here's me in my Jessica Rabbit Salute Tee posing with an authentic, gorgeous, redheaded Jessica.

This one is Jess Ray, my yoga instructor.

Wish I could keep her with me forever.  She's obviously the perfect accessory for this Tee!

2000 Boston Marathon

Wolfman's T-Shirt of the Day.

The Boston Marathon is coming up.  I've run the race on 16 occasions with a best time of 2:47. Now, I'm one of the cheering faces in the crowd, encouraging runners younger and fitter than I am.

I didn't watch the race last year because I was home packing for my trip to China which left the following day.  My usual viewing location is at the finish line, right in front of Marathon Sports.  Had I been there that day, I would have been standing right next to the first bomb.  Karma.

My good friend ej Caterson, a plastic surgeon who does a lot of work with badly wounded Army soldiers, was doing surgery that day at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.   He had just finished up a long case when the marathon wounded started coming in.  He started operating on them and didn't stop for the next 24 hours.  Because of his experience with combat shrapnel wounds, he was able to save 35 legs which lesser experienced surgeons probably would have amputated.  Karma again.

I gave ej a shout out in my new novel Who Wacked Roger Rabbit?  He's Squeegee Caterson, a plastic surgeon made out of plastic.  He's able to elongate his fingers, go in through your nose, and take out your appendix.  My small way of saying thanks for his good work last year.

Let's pray he never has to do anything like that again.

Wolfman's Tee and Me! Tench-hut!

Wolfman's Tee and Me!

Rachael Tirado spotted me wearing my Jessica Rabbit Salute Tee from a few days ago.  So she get's her picture posted with me and the Tee.

Congratulations, Rachael.  Good eye!

Dasvidaniya!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

On my recent trip to Russia, i got a tour of Star City, the top secret Russian cosmonaut training facility.  I went for a ride in the the world's largest centrifuge,  Didn't barf!  Also didn't go 1/100th the speed a cosmonaut would have gone.  Did the flight simulator.  Crashed every time.  Saw the underwater facility they use to simulate weightlessness.

And got this cool T-shirt and really warm Russian Army hat.

I was there at the invitation of the head of the Russian cosmonaut training program.  He was a big fan of my writing.  Not the Roger Rabbit stuff.  He didn't know about that.  He knew me as a science fiction writer.  His favorites were Killerbowl and The Resurrectionist.  Both soon to be major motion pictures.  So he'll be a happy Russian.

Tench-hut!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Let's all pop to attention and give a big salute to Jessica Rabbit.

She deserves a standing O.  Jessica's  greatly improved the morale of at least a platoon of our fighting men.

If you want to find out exactly what she's done to pick up the spirits of our boys in uniform, read my latest novel Who Wacked Roger Rabbit?  Available in digital form at a download near you.

Hooah!

Wolfman’s T-shirt of the Day.

Army Strong.  I’m wearing this Tee in honor of my favorite nephew, Sergeant soon to be Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.  I’ve accessorized my Tee with an Army lanyard and my Air Commando pot from Vietnam.

I was honored to be best man at Kevin’s wedding.  I was the shortest, flabbiest, baldest, weakest, and by far the oldest guy in the wedding party.

My neph’s currently an Army recruiter in Plattsburgh, NY.  If you’re thinking about signing up, give him a call.  He’ll a level headed and honest guy who’ll cut you a square deal.

If I was a couple of years younger, I’d re-up myself.

Hooah.

Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Big Sandy and his Fly-rite Boys.  Autographed by Big Sandy himself.

If you like Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis, you'll love Big Sandy.  He plays a real thumping brand of country rock and roll.

Yeah, yeah, I know the photo's blurry, but so was I when got the Tee.  There's a tradition at Big Sandy shows for the audience to buy tequila shots after every song for Big Sandy and the band.  This goes on all night.  So by the end of the show, you wonder how Big Sandy is able to stand up let alone keep playing.  Same went for me that night since I stood for at least six rounds. Now you start to understand where Eddie Valiant gets his love for booze.

Check out Big Sandy's music here.  And if you ever get a chance, see him live.  You'll be singing, you'll be dancing, and I guarantee you be leaving whoozy!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A Tee from Hangover, one of my favorite movies.

Killerbowl

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

In science fiction circles I am best known as the writer of the  ultraviolent futuristic sports novel Killerbowl

This was my first novel.  I wrote the book in 1976 when I still had a full head of hair, a brown beard, and aspirations of becoming the next Isaac Asimov.

I used the money I got for this novel to buy an authorly wardrobe - a black turtleneck, a tweed jacked with leather patches on the elbows, and a custom made pair of leather pants.  Hey, don't laugh.  That's what authors wore in the '70's.

I recently adapted Killerbowl into a film script and graphic novel entitled Street Lethal.  You'll be hearing a lot more about those two projects in the coming months.

To find out what the original fuss was about, you can get a digital copy of Killerbowl for $2.99 at Amazon.com.

Space Cadet.  Descriptive of both my T-shirt and my mental abilities.

Another Tee from the fabulous collection of Bradley W. Schenck over at Retropolis.  http://shop.webomator.com/retropolis/

This Tee was a gift from one of my favorite yoga instructors, Sarah Sturges.  She'll be appearing soon as a named character in my new science fiction movie/graphic novel/video game Street Lethal based on my first science fiction novel Killerbowl.

Stay Tooned for more details on this exciting big screen, small screen, small page project.

Play It Again, Roger.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

My favorite Roger and Jessica T-shirt.  A riff on the final Humphrey Bogart/Ingrid Bergman scene in Casablanca.

The back reads "We'll Always Have Toontown."

Toke 'em if you got 'em!

Wolfman’s T-shirt of the Day.

With fond memories of my days in San Francisco when the city was a living Toontown and the Haight-Ashbury ruled.

Ah, those New Years Eve Grateful Dead concerts at the Filmore where I could barely see the band through the dope smoke.  Talk about dazed and confused.  I lived in San Francisco from 1969-1981, the Golden Years of the Golden Gate.  Saw Jerry and the band countless times. Probably lost fifty percent of my brain cells during my time in Frisco. Imagine what i could do today if I still had a full load!

Toke ‘em if you got ‘em.  P-p-p-please.

And that, my child, is where talking rabbits come from.

The Rabbit Rules at Amazon.com

Hey, gang.  Looks what's been showing up in eMailboxes today.

Free Tibet?

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.  Free Tibet.

I wanted to get a Free Tibet t-shirt during my recent trip to Tibet.  Good luck.  I could buy all kinds of T-shirts on the street at 3 for $5, but no Free Tibets.  When I asked, even the most aggressive T-shirt vendors gathered up their wares and literally ran away.

I went on line to see if I could get one there.  Of course, the Chinese government controls the internet.  The only Free Tibet t-shirts I could find were jokey ones that said "Free Tibet with purchase of one Tibet at regular price."

This was my first purchase after I got home.  On Amazon.com where they had hundreds of them and weren't afraid to sell them to me.  God bless the U.S.A.!

Play it again, Bruuuuuuuce!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Bruce Springsteen at Fenway Park.  September 6 and 7, 2003.

I was in the front row for both shows.  Got to shake his hand.  He tossed me his guitar pick.  I'm giving it as a Christmas present to a young friend who plays guitar in her family band.  Shhhhhh. Don't tell her.  I want it to be a surprise.
